Response Signs Sliabh an Iarann Contract

The proposed Slaibh an Iarainn Project involves the laying of 35km of HDPE water main in roads and verges. To be installed by open cut and directional drilling (trenchless technology) methods.

As part of the contract we have to:

  • Construct a new 180m3  service reservoir with pumping station and access roads
  • Site works and fencing
  • Upgrade the existing reservoir and build a new access road
  • Build a pump station / disinfection building
  • Construction of new on line pump house
  • Civil works to 2 no. booster pump stations
  • Connection of customers to new mains with installation of boundary boxes and domestic water meters
  • Installation of bulk water meters with remote monitoring equipment
  • Provide and install electronic metering system for the group.
Leitrim County Council have appointed Response Civil Ltd Donegal as the civil contractors to the Contract at a cost of € 1,500,000.00.

The council’s representative on this project is Blue Hills Consulting Engineers of Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim.

Site works are due to commence in February with a construction period of 9 months.
