Response Group provide lamellae plate and tube settling systems for water and wastewater treatment plant sedimentation tanks.
Our lamellae plate and tube settlers can be provided as part of a new build or retrofitted to existing tanks to increase the efficiency of settlement processes. When retrofitted to existing tanks, the throughput of the plant can be increased by 200-400%.
The Lamellae Plate system operates in such a way that as the water in the settlement tank flows upward, the solids settle on the inclined, parallel lamellae plates. The required tank area required for settlement is much smaller than conventional tanks as the effective gravity settling area of the inclined plate design is proportional to the total surface area of the inclined plate rack. The lamellae plates are commonly manufactured in aluminium or PVC and are supported by galvanised mild steel, aluminium or stainless steel trusses installed at 150-200mm centres.
Tube settlers use multiple tubular channels sloped at an angle of 60° and adjacent to each other, which combine to form an increased effective settling area. The tube settlers are manufactured in PVC or polypropylene and are available in various lengths to suit individual tank requirements with the most common length of tubes offered being 600mm and 900mm.
